Raytheon hires two-decade federal and commercial market veteran John DeSimone as vice president of cybersecurity and special missions in the defense contractor's intelligence business.
Raytheon has hired two-decade federal and commercial market veteran John DeSimone as vice president of cybersecurity and special missions in the defense contractor's intelligence, information and services segment.
DeSimone will lead a team of 1,700 employees that work on cyber-related issues such as advanced persistent threats, according to a company release.
Prior to Raytheon, DeSimone worked as executive vice president and general manager at CSRA with responsibility over seven business units that included cybersecurity. DeSimone held a vice president role at the former Computer Sciences Corp. before the creation of CSRA in late 2015.
His career also includes executive roles at Northrop Grumman, IBM and Motorola.
