Peraton adds Mazzocco as chief security officer
Peraton continues the construction of its executive team with the hire of Phillip Mazzocco as chief security officer.
Peraton has hired former Leidos vice president and 22-year security industry veteran Phillip Mazzocco as chief security officer.
At Leidos, Mazzocco was VP of sector security and led the security team that supported the company’s health record modernization contract with the Defense Department now known as Genesis.
His career also includes senior security roles at companies such as CGI Federal, General Dynamics and Science Applications International Corp.
Herndon, Va.-based Peraton rebranded to its current name in July from its former identity as the Harris Corp. IT business. Veritas Capital acquired the business in April.
Mazzocco also is rejoining former Leidos executive Stu Shea, who is CEO of Peraton.
