Engility wins Air Force kinetic technology research contract

Engility takes in a five-year, $49 million contract to help the Air Force research and develop kinetic technology.
Engility Corp. has won five-year, $49 million contract to help the Air Force conduct research-and-development work in the area of kinetic technology.
The Air Force awarded the contract through a competition and under a broad agency announcement issued in May. Work will take place over five years and could extend for an additional six-month option period, according to Deltek.
Chantilly, Va.-based Engility will work to develop new multi-spectral and multi-modal phenomenology models for the Kinetic Kill Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation Technology for Advanced Research program.
Through KSTAR, the Air Force seeks to advance new test technology and help in efforts to research, develop and transition munitions through integrated guidance simulation.
