General Dynamics beats four other bidders for a potential five-year, $104.9 million contract to build the Marine Corps' new aviation command and control system.
General Dynamics has won a potential five-year, $104.9 million contract to help the Marine Corps build and develop the branch's next aviation command-and-control system.
The company's mission systems business unit beat four other bidders for the contract that advances the Common Aviation Command and Control System program to full-rate production. The contract contains two base years and three one-year options that would extend work to Jan. 26, 2022.
CAC2S production will cover 41 units in four lots through fiscal year 2020 that include servers, network switches, network routers, radios and ancillary equipment.
General Dynamics will also be responsible for quarterly software maintenance releases and help assemble the components into a deployable system.
