Camber books $78M Marine Corps explosive event management task order

Huntington Ingalls Industries' Camber Corp. subsidiary has been awarded a potential five-year, $78 million task order by the Marine Corps for technical and engineering support to an explosive attack consequences program.

Camber received the order through the General Services Administration’s government-wide OASIS professional services contracting vehicle. The order includes a one-year, $15 million base period with four option years that would extend the award to its full ceiling value.

The Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High-Yield Explosive Consequence Management program is a federal effort to protect the country and military against explosive incidents involving CBRNE agents or weapons.

This approach was introduced in the 2010 Quadrennial Defense Review and seeks to ease the transition of emergency management functions from state to federal control.
