Arlington Capital builds manufacturing, R&D footprint with Tex Tech acquisition

Arlington Capital Partners adds an aerospace-and-defense manufacturing piece to its portfolio through an acquisition of Tex Tech Industries.

Arlington Capital Partners has acquired textile material manufacturer Tex Tech Industries to add new manufacturing and research-and-development business.

Terms of the transaction were undisclosed and Portland, Maine-based Tex Tech brings to Arlington Capital footprints in the aerospace and defense fields, along with other industrial and sporting sectors.

Washington-based private equity firm Arlington Capital consolidated much of its defense and government services portfolio last year through the formation of the company now known as Polaris Alpha. Prior to that, Arlington Capital sold government IT contractors Compusearch and Novetta Solutions both in 2015.

Founded in 1904, Tex Tech builds fire-blocking and moisture-absorbing textiles for use on military aircraft.
