Tiag elevates exec pair, unveils new tech R&D team

Technology and professional services contractor The Informatics Applications Group has promoted a pair of executives and given them responsibility over a new team focused on research-and-development functions.
Former Vice Presidents Neil Lampton and Umang Modi were respectively elevated to chief operating officer and chief strategy officer at the Reston, Va.-based company.
They will lead its new solutions and innovations strike team that will focus on technology development and go-to-market strategies for government and commercial customers.
Tiag credits Lampton and Modi with leadership over its expansion across the East Coast, West Coast, Pacific Northwest and Southern U.S. regions with Huntsville, Ala. a particular focus for geographic growth. Both executives first joined the contractor in 2005.
Lampton and Modi also oversaw work on behavior health mobile applications, cybersecurity initiatives and data integration for clinical analysis.
