Tiag adds WBB, Marines vet McCaron to VP team

The Informatics Applications Group adds retired Marine Corps officer and former WBB executive Dan McCarron to the vice president ranks.

The Informatics Applications Group has appointed retired Marine Corps officer and former Whitney, Bradley & Brown executive Dan McCarron as VP of operations and national security.

The 35-year national security veteran will oversee the Reston, Va.-based company's strategies in services for cybersecurity, intelligence, advanced analytics, enterprise IT modernization and software development initiatives.

McCarron's 25-year military career includes leadership over intelligence operations in Afghanistan and Iraq as chief of staff for the U.S. military's Counter-IED Operations/Intelligence Integration Center.

Additional roles in service include chief of Central Command in the Joint Operations Division and an advisory role for the Marine Corps' commandant and assistant commandant regarding joint matters for strategy. He also led the Joint Staff in campaign planning for Centcom's operations and advised the Joint Operations director during his Marine Corps career.
