SAIC sector president Wagoner to leave company

Science Applications International Corp. said Friday that Doug Wagoner, president of its services and solutions sector, has resigned from the company in a move effective Sept. 1.

Dan Harris, senior vice president and general manager of sector operations and planning, will serve as interim president of the sector and report to Chief Operating Officer Nazzic Keene, also effective Sept. 1. Keene became COO in June and kept her other title as global markets and mission sector president.

Wagoner, a 10-year SAIC veteran, helped oversee the "Project Gemini" initiative to separate the former $11 billion SAIC in 2013 into the smaller companies now known as Leidos and SAIC. He is leaving SAIC "to pursue personal interests," an emailed company statement to Washington Technology said.

In his more recent role, Wagoner led 13,000 employees in areas such as digital infrastructure management, data analytics, cyber, software integration, mission systems engineering, platform integration, logistics, training and simulation.

His SAIC career also includes leadership of the homeland and civilian solutions business unit. Prior to that he managed SAIC's state, local, and commercial IT business.
