National Technologies Associates adds information and mission support services in the defense and intelligence communities through its acquisition of V1 Analytical Solutions.

Technical support service provider National Technologies Associates has purchased Arlington, Va.-based V1 Analytical Solutions in an effort to expand information analysis and mission support work for defense and intelligence agencies.

Terms of the deal were undisclosed and V1 brings to NTA a presence in the special operations community along with military training services. V1 is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that also offers policy, program and budget support for customers in the military and government aviation communities.

NTA's main customer for prime contracts is the Navy, according to Deltek. Started in 1981, the technical services contractor estimates its annual revenue at $50 million with nearly 500 employees at 20 offices across the country.

V1 President Ralph Cacci will move to NTA and act as president of the V1 business unit within NTA. Eric Olson, a retired Navy admiral and former Special Operations Command leader, will join NTA's board of directors.

Washington, D.C.-based investment bank Indian River Advisors advised NTA on the acquisition. Reston, Va.-headquartered boutique mergers-and-acquisition advisory firm Rock Hall Partners was financial adviser for V1.
