Northrop keeps Marine software work under new potential $93M award

Northrop Grumman retains its software development and maintenance work for the Marine Corps' command-and-control systems under a new potential four-year, $93 million contract.
Northrop Grumman has won a potential four-year, $93 million contract to develop and maintain software for the Marine Corps' suite of systems and applications used in command and control functions.
This contract is a retention of Northrop's work under the predecessor five-year award given in December 2011. The Marines received two bids for the new contract that has one base year with four one-year options.
Work will support two components of the Marines' C2 environment: the Command & Control Personal Computer and Tactical Services Oriented Architecture.
The branch uses the C2PC to display digital maps from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and the TSOA product line works to help users discover and visualize data for operations, according to Deltek.
The Marines envision an environment with systems interoperability and commonality that can createan integrated common tactical picture and common operational picture, Deltek says.
Contract work will take place through December 2021 if the Marines exercise all options.
