Applied Research Associates has won a five-year, $49.5 million contract to conduct research-and-development work for the Army in prototyping sensors and other technologies.
Albuquerque, N.M.-based ARA will also focus on prototypes of hardware and software. The company will additionally perform testing, modeling and simulation training.
Founded in 1979, the employee-owned company's work encompasses research, engineering, and technical support services in projects and programs involving physical sciences for government and commercial partners.
ARA was the lone bidder for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract and work will take place through July 2, 2022.
