Agile Six picks up VA T4NG spot through acquisition

Health IT company Agile Six Applications has acquired a business unit of The Informatics Applications Group that includes a position on a large Veterans Affairs Department technology services contract vehicle.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed and Agile Six becomes one of 28 companies with spots on the 10-year, $22.3 billion Transformation Twenty-One Total Technology Next Generation vehicle also known as T4NG.

This contract was the subject of a series of protests both pre-award and post-award, after which 21 winners made the initial cut in March 2016.

Four companies subsequently protested the contract and a Supreme Court ruling three months after the award on how the VA conducts small business procurements led to additional positions on T4NG.

Tiag, a Reston, Va.-based IT consulting contractor, was one of the initial 21 awardees. T4NG covers services such as systems and software engineering, cybersecurity, enterprise network management and technical support.

Chula Vista, Ca.-based Agile Six is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business that focuses on health IT and software tools for veteran care.
