GD books $250M Army intell, electronic warfare system service contract

General Dynamics has been awarded a five-year, $250 million contract to help test and modify an Army system used to support signals intelligence and electronic warfare functions for warfighters.

"Prophet" is located on ground vehicles and works as a force protection and situational awareness platform with sensors to support operations in stationary, dismounted, mobile and manpack modes. The latest version called "Prophet Enhanced" is based on the Project Manager Warfighter Information Network – Tactical.

The new version is built as interoperable with the Global Signals Intelligence Enterprise for the ability to give intelligence agencies access to common databases with collected data.

General Dynamics' mission systems business division will perform the work through June 15, 2022.
