CSRA wins potential $498M DOD milCloud 2.0 infrastructure job
CSRA bests four other bids for the potential eight-year, $498 million contract to help in the first phase of DOD's on-premise milCloud 2.0 project.
CSRA has won a potential eight-year, $498 million contract for commercial infrastructure services to support phase one of the Defense Department's on-premise milCloud 2.0 environment.
A follow-on to milCloud 1.0, version 2 is an extension of the Defense Information Systems Agency's efforts to connect DOD networks with commercial cloud infrastructures in a private deployment model. This new version aims to give the department access to commercially-owned, pay-for-use cloud infrastructure services.
DISA first rolled out milCloud in 2014 to act as a government-operated private cloud with both classified and unclassified versions.
The agency received five proposals for the single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract including CSRA.
