DXC wins potential $150M GSA ID credential management contract

The recently-launched DXC Technology has won a potential 10-year, $150 million contract to help the General Services Administration manage a program for the issuance and maintenance of identity credentials for civilian agency employees.

GSA sought an uninterrupted, governmentwide and contractor-managed service to help operate USAccess under Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12. HSPD-12 mandates a common identification standard for federal employees and contractors.

Nearly 575,000 personal identification verification cards are in active service across 102 agencies. This new contract calls on DXC to manage close to 1.4 million identities for agencies, a company spokesperson told Washington Technology.

DXC inherited the USAccess program from HPE Enterprise Services, which merged with Computer Sciences Corp. in March to create DXC. HPE ES had managed the program since 2007.

GSA originally awarded the contract in February to the former HPE ES business. XTec protested the decision but withdrew its challenge one month later, according to Deltek.
