CACI gives COO added responsibilities, hires new U.S. operations president

Find opportunities — and win them.

CACI International has given its chief operating officer increased responsibilities and in conjunction hired a new president of U.S. operations.

CACI International has expanded the role of its chief operating officer and hired a new president of U.S. operations as the government services contractor works to extend its organic- and acquisition-focused growth strategies.

COO John Mengucci will add responsibility for the Arlington, Va.-based company’s functions in business development, mergers and acquisitions, human resources and recruiting, and contracts. Mengucci joined CACI in 2012 as COO and president of U.S. operations from Lockheed Martin. CACI credits him with the development of its market-based strategy.

In tandem, Mengucci’s former dual role as president of U.S. operations will be taken by DeEtte Gray, formerly president of the intelligence business at BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary for the previous five years. Gray will focus on CACI’s efforts to sustain and increase organic growth.

Gray will report to Mengucci in her role at CACI. She is a 20-year industry veteran and held executives roles at Lockheed Martin for 13 years prior to her appointment at BAE Systems Inc.
