American Systems wins a five-year, $30 million contract to help the Navy with simulations of manned and unmanned air vehicles.
American Systems has won a five-year, $30 million contract for engineering, technical and system acquisition to help the Navy develop and operate air vehicle simulations.
Chantilly, Va.-based American Systems will collaborate with the Navy to make algorithms for potential use in collision avoidance systems in future manned and unmanned aircraft.
Additional work areas include piloted and desktop engineering simulations and aircraft trainer devices.
Two bids were submitted to the Navy for the contract.
