Accenture books $64M TSA agile software contract

Accenture Federal Services will work with the Transportation Security Administration on application updates under a four-year, $64 million contract.
Accenture’s federal subsidiary has won a potential four-year, $64 million contract to help the Transportation Security Administration update enterprise applications.
TSA aims to transform its core IT infrastructure through agile and DevOps software development methods. Accenture Federal Services will work with the agency to modernize and maintain 70 enterprise applications.
This partnership is part of TSA's efforts to adopt the federal government's "Cloud First" and "Mobile First" approaches for technology and applications, Deltek says. Contract work will aim to also re-engineer and re-platform TSA's technology environment with the goal of standardized architectures for applications.
The contract contains one base year and three one-year options. TSA awarded the contract through Functional Category 1 of the DHS EAGLE II contract vehicle, according to Deltek.
