MDA taps Parsons for $385M systems engineering contract
The Missile Defense Agency has chosen Parsons for a potential five-year, $385 million systems engineering contract.
Parsons’ federal group has won five-year, $385 million contract from the Missile Defense Agency for systems engineering and technical services as part of MDA’s wider TEAMS initiative.
The Defense Department said Thursday Parsons will support the Ballistic Missile Defense System under the agency’s Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support initiative.
Parsons has been awarded two initial task orders worth approximately $31 million and $46 million, according to Deltek.
MDA used best-value criteria for the award and required bidders to include plans for small business subcontracting and participation in their proposals, the solicitation says.
MDA received two bids through an unrestricted competition for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, which contains two base years along with three one-year options.
Work will take place in the Washington metropolitan region, Colorado Springs and Huntsville, Ala.
