The Army has kicked off a survey of small businesses to identify those potentially interested in supporting the service’s next Network Integration Evaluation exercise scheduled for July.
An Army request for information posted Friday asks respondents to detail whether they plan to bid as a prime contractor or not for work to help the branch evaluate and select force modernization concepts at NIE 17.2
Soldier-led NIE exercises take place on a semi-annual basis to help the Army identify and evaluate new communications technologies for use on its networks.
The RFI lists goals of the NIE 17.2 exercise as including evaluation of components for their operational value and demonstration of concepts to address warfighting challenges.
These small business categories were listed as of particular interest in this survey: 8(a), small disadvantage, HUBZone, woman-owned and service-disabled veteran-owned.
Responses for the RFI are due to the Army by 12 p.m. Eastern time April 13.
