Contract award activity slowed a bit in the seventh month of 2016, with Washington Technology reporting on 46 awards.

July’s 46 is a few awards shy of June’s 49, as well as being lower than July 2015’s 52 awards. So far, Washington Technology has covered 338 awards compared to 324 awards at this point last year.

July was a great month for Lockheed Martin, who holds sole possession of two of the top 10 contracts.

Science Applications International Corp. has won an $86 million task order to provide technical expertise to the Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration and Air Force Major Commands.

9. Out of the Fog wins $91.4M contract for R&D effort

Out of the Fog Research has won a $91.4 million contract to provide the Navy with acquisition support, systems engineering, project management, basic research, development and implementation services.

8. Information Innovators wins $100M contract to continue FDA web services support

Information Innovators Inc. has won a $100 million Web Content Management System Support Services contract to provide web services support to the Food and Drug Administration.

7. Northrop Grumman wins $103.4M counter-IED contract

Northrop Grumman has won a $103.4 million contract to continue its counter improvised explosive device support for the Navy.

6. Raytheon wins $132.5M contract to support missile defense system

Raytheon has won a $132.5 million contract to continue supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s Ballistic Missile Defense System.

5. 7 capture $142M DCMA support contract

Seven of 10 bidders have won spots on a $142 million Defense Contracts Management Agency contract for sustainment and modernization efforts.
