Lockheed Martin to support F-35 fleet under $560M contract

Lockheed Martin has won a $560 million contract to support the military’s F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft.

Lockheed Martin has won a $560 million contract to support the military’s F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter aircraft.

Under the contract, Lockheed will provide autonomic logistics information system hardware and software upgrades, full mission simulators and engineering services, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work is expected to be completed in July 2022.

The contract combines purchases for the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, foreign military sales customers and non-Defense Department participants, the Defense Department said.
