The General Services Administration has done away with commercial sales practice disclosures and the price reduction clause in federal contracts with a new rule, according to FCW.
The General Services Administration has done away with commercial sales practice disclosures and the price reduction clause in federal contracts with a new rule, according to FCW.
With the Transactional Data Reporting rule, which went into effect June 22, contractors will be required to provide more detailed data on the costs agencies are paying for purchases through contract vehicles. This detailed data will let contractors see what other agencies are spending and purchasing.
GSA officials said the combination of the removal of these requirements and the additional data will save approximately $29 million a year across contract vehicles, FCW reported.
The rule will be implemented via a pilot program, which includes the GSA's IT Schedule 70 contract.
