NASA to probe industry for forthcoming SEWP V

SPace agency wants to learn about the latest and greatest advances in IT and acquisition strategies for its governmentwide contract.

NASA officials are beginning their market research for the Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement V, the agency announced April 30.

SEWP V is an anticipated governmentwide acquisition contract (GWAC), a continuation of the long-standing IT contract. Like its predecessors, SEWP V is expected to be a fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multi-award contract featuring high-end IT product solutions, computers, and related products.

To do their research, officials will hold 60 one-on-one interviews from July 9 through July 23.

The interviews will give industry an opportunity to provide the government with the latest information on current and upcoming IT products and trends and associated procurement topics.

Officials want insights on new technology products, anticipated IT trends, and cloud computing, as well as acquisition issues.

They want know about supply chain management, such as ways to mitigate risks for counterfeit and tainted products. They are also interested in what small businesses can provide, either as a reseller or as a manufacturer.

Vendors can schedule meetings by registering at the SEWP V Registration website https://www.sewp.nasa.gov/registration. Scheduling begins May 2 at noon.
