HP Enterprise Services stands up defense practice

HP Enterprise Services has established a new practice to assist current and future defense clients and appointed a former top Defense Department official to run the business, company officials announced today.

Retired Rear Adm. Elizabeth Hight, a former vice director of the Defense Information Systems Agency, will lead the practice, the company said in the announcement.

The company formed its new Defense Command and Control Infrastructure practice to better align its products and services to the information needs of its defense clients from the standpoints of their distinct business and warfare missions, the officials said.

The practice will offer HP’s defense customers a wider range of information services and subject matter experts, they said.

Hight has experience with net-centric technologies and services, network operations and other services and technologies to support warfighters. Her work with DISA focused on helping its personnel provide integrated communications and computing solutions to the secretary of Defense, combatant commanders, the military services and other DOD components.
