FedBid names former Deloitte partner as president
Glenn Richardson joines reverse auction firm after stints at Deloitte, Arthur Andersen and the U.S. military.
FedBid Inc. of Vienna, Va., today named Glenn Richardson as its new president, the company said in a news release.
Richardson will direct FedBid’s public sector operations, which handled more than $875 million of transactions in 2009, the company said.
FedBid’s chief executive officer Ali Saadat said Richardson’s “experience mirrors FedBid’s business strategy, as he has successfully bridged and strengthened both government and private sector organizations throughout his career.”
Richardson is a former partner at Deloitte and Arthur Andersen. He also served 15 years in the military.
In October, FedBid, a reverse-auction services provider, said government buyers had used its online marketplace to purchase more than $875 million worth of products and commodities in fiscal 2009, more than a 20 percent increase over 2008.
