The desiredimprovements include a Web-based approach,user-friendly interfaces that use Web servicessuch as Extensible Markup Language, auditing,geocoding and biometrics.The California Transportation Department wantsa contractor to provide a constructionmanagementsystem.An RFP is expected in December.The contractor must furnish a Web-based,centralized data repositoryto support department andcontractor staff. The systemmust be able to trackand manage the required forms, submittals anddocumentation received from contractors andgenerate reports.The Massachusetts Public Safety Departmentwants a contractor to provide 911 support services.An RFP is expected in September.The contractor will be responsible for monitoring,maintaining and supportingthe state'sEnhanced 911 system.Contractors should be capable of providing supportservices associated with integrated networks,location information and automatic number identification,data transfer capabilities for public safetyanswering points, and equipment maintenance.The Texas Health and Human ServicesCommission wants a contractor to provide softwaredevelopment servicesfor the Texas IntegratedEligibility Redesign System.An RFP is expected in January 2009.The contractor must maintain, enhance andsupport the system in keeping with the commission'smission and goals.
