Five firms to battle for Coast Guard services deal
Five companies will compete for a $104 million Coast Guard financial management contract.
Five companies have won contracts to provide financial management services to the Coast Guard under a blanket purchase agreement worth $104 million.
The companies ? AOC Solutions Inc., BearingPoint Inc., Grant Thornton LLP, Kforce Government Solutions Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers ? will compete for task orders over the next five years, a Coast Guard spokeswoman said.
The work will support the Coast Guard's Office of Financial Policy and Systems and the Office of Financial Transformation and Compliance.
According to a press release from BearingPoint, the services will include:
- Improving internal controls and accountability over financial business processes.
- Strengthening the Coast Guard's financial reporting policies and procedures.
- Transforming human resource strategy to improve the Coast Guard's financial management workforce.
