Advanced Industrial Computer, a designer andmanufacturer of rackmount server and data storageenclosures, introduced a new portable storagesolution for post-production, video/graphicediting, mission-critical content development andmanagement applications. The MiniBOD XJ-SA01-08-A1 is lightweight andhas a small footprint. The portable hardwareallows users to save and access files to eightSmall Form Factor 2.5-inch Serial AttachedSCSI/Serial Advanced Technology Attachmentdrives. The storage device allows high input/outputoperations per second storage reads and writes atas high as 2.4G bandwidth, and it supports asmuch as 1.2T of storage. The MiniBOD offers plugand access, and it can connect to host servers ofthe same Redundant Array of Independent Disksconfiguration through the SFF8088 connector.Air filtration was added to GizMac Accessories'smaller capacities of XRackPro server racks.GizMac's 4U and 6U models of XRackPro2server racks now feature an air filtration system inaddition to reduced noise. Filtration suppliescleaner air to the server rack enclosure and thecomputer and other equipment inside. The controlled airflow of the XRackPro2 serverrack aids cooling, cuts noise and enables an airfiltering system to function.Air filters used in the XRackPro2 computerracks are custom made and particularly suited forthis application. The pleated design of the filter provides greatersurface area for trapping more particles while allowingsuperior air circulation. The filters are reinforcedwith a metal grid to prevent collapse because ofthe high airflow created by cooling fans.
