SRA to support DHS infrastructure protection

The Homeland Security Department has awarded SRA International Inc. a $24.7 million task order under SRA's General Services Administration schedule contract. The company will provide programmatic and technical support to DHS' Sector Specific Agency Executive Management Office.

The office creates and implements critical infrastructure protection programs. Critical infrastructure includes power grids, dams, transportation systems, emergency services and other necessary elements that keep the country running. SRA will provide program management, metrics development, risk management and technical writing services.

SRA partner Energetics Inc. will aid the integrator in carrying out its duties. Energetics is a subsidiary of VSE Corp., based in Alexandria, Va.

SRA, based in Fairfax, Va., ranks No. 33 on Washington Technology's 2007 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
