L-1 closes ComnetiX purchase
L-1 Identity Solutions has completed its acquisition of ComnetiX, a provider of secure identification and authentication products and services.
L-1 Identity Solutions has completed its acquisition of ComnetiX, a provider of secure identification and authentication products and services. The purchase price was $17.8 million.
The acquisition, which was first announced in November 2006, is designed to boost L-1 Identity Solutions' fingerprint products and services by establishing a presence in the Canadian market, company officials said.
Equally significant, the acquisition also will add a complementary base of customers to L-1 Identity Solutions' existing portfolio, particularly with law enforcement agencies, the company said.
ComnetiX will become part of L-1's IBT division.
L-1 Identity Solutions of Stamford, Conn., offers products and solutions for protecting and securing personal identity and assets. Its biometric capabilities include finger, face and iris recognition.
