The Army needs small businesses to provide onsite IT support, including coordinating and managing the program manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems. The support covers networks, hardware, software, operating systems, applications and the creation and maintenance of graphics for presentations and trade shows.The small businesses must have a Secret clearance before submitting proposals. Contact Alan Paret at aparet@pica.army.mil.The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is looking for sources to design, manufacture and market systems to receive Emergency Managers Weather Information satellite broadcast information.The current dissemination system offers data on weather watches, warnings, forecasts, hydrometeorological products, graphics and satellite imagery. It must be replaced when new satellites are put into service by 2011. A new, digital, direct broadcast service will replace the current one.Responses are due by Jan. 9. The agency will award multiple contracts to companies, which will compete for task orders.The contract is for global netcentric solutions and services to support the military services, the Defense Department and other federal agencies. Solutions include network engineering and the analysis of and support for the acquisition, installation, fielding, training and operation and management of components and systems.Some of the tasks under the contract include enterprise IT policy and planning, integrated solutions management, business process re-engineering, custom application development, product integration, telecommunications support and Web services, among others.
