Northrop Grumman team chases Army mega deal

Northrop Grumman Corp. has assembled a team of companies to compete for the Army's Information Technology Enterprise Solutions-2 Services program, said company officials.

The mega contract is a nine-year, $20 billion, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity program that will provide the Army with a range of IT services and solutions to support enterprise infrastructure goals, including command, control, communications, computers and information management, company officials said.

Northrop Grumman Information Technology of McLean, Va., is leading the team that includes Titan Corp. of San Diego; Multimax of Largo, Md.; Siemens AG of Munich, Germany; Research Analysis and Maintenance of El Paso, Texas; Nortel Networks of Toronto; Phacil Inc. of Camden, N.J.; and T-Systems ofFrankfurt, Germany.

The Army technology program is an element of the Army Enterprise Infostructure Transformation program, designed to reduce the cost of maintaining information systems while improving access to information and applications.

Northrop Grumman has more than 125,000 employees and annual revenue of $29.9 billion. The company ranks No. 2 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of IT prime contractors.
