HHS taps Baltimore firm for Web support

Mind Over Machines Inc. won a contract from the Health and Human Services Department to provide database administration, operations support and help-desk services.

Mind Over Machines Inc. won a 28-month contract worth more than $1.2 million from the Health and Human Services Department to provide database administration, operations support and help-desk services.

The Baltimore company is working on the agency's Web-based Integrated Time and Attendance System. The system supports management and technical needs across the department's different divisions and locations.

Under the contract, Mind Over Machines is responsible for critical processes at the close of each pay period. The company also will assess existing capacity and bottleneck issues and improve the system's performance, including database and application services and hardware and network configuration.

Mind Over Machines delivers IT solutions to federal and commercial clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. Its federal government customers include the Education Department, the National Cancer Institute, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the National Institutes of Health and the Army's Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
