Three companies were selected by the U.S. Special Operations Command to compete for task orders under a five-year, $100 million contract to devise a media campaigns for foreign audiences.

Three companies were selected by the U.S. Special Operations Command to compete for task orders under a five-year, $100 million contract to devise a media campaigns for foreign audiences.

SYColeman Corp., Lincoln Group and Science Applications International Corp. will develop and disseminate print articles, radio broadcasts, TV programs, Internet sites and novelty items to boost the image of the U.S. and its military abroad. The companies also will perform media analysis for the Joint Psychological Operations Support and other agencies.

The work will be performed both inside and outside the continental United States, and the task orders may be issued from June 7, 2005, to June 6, 2010.

SYColeman of Arlington, Va., a subsidiary of L-3 Communications Inc., provides a range of services to the federal government, including program management, information technology services, systems engineering, strategic planning and communications and integrated security solutions.

Lincoln Group Corp. of Washington provides communications, strategic planning and professional consultation services.

SAIC of San Diego is an employee-owned research and engineering company, and is No. 3 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors. L-3 is ranked No. 15.
