HUD turns to MIL for financial management help
MIL Corp. won a multiyear contract to help the Department of Housing and Urban Development develop requirements for its integrated financial management improvement project.
MIL Corp. won a multiyear contract potentially worth more than $5.5 million from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to help the agency develop requirements for its integrated financial management improvement project, the company said Thursday.
MIL will help establish evaluation criteria for a commercial off-the-shelf solution and for a recommendation on enterprise acquisition and implementation strategies. The company will analyze requirements for budget execution, funds control, commitments/reservations, obligations, accounts payable and receivable, costs and financial reporting.
When fully implemented, HUD's project will be the agency's first single financial system that will allow transactions between HUD partners, integrate front-end and back-end business processes, ensure compliance with government regulations and strengthen financial control, MIL said.
Based in Bowie, Md., MIL is a privately held company that provides professional management and technical support services to federal agencies and commercial clients. It employs 340 workers.
