Six will race for $252M in Air Force IT orders

Six companies have won an opportunity to compete for individual delivery orders under a $252 million contract with the Air Force Information Warfare Center at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.

The companies are General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va.; Macauley Brown Inc., Dayton, Ohio; Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif.; Science Applications International Corp., San Diego; Titan Corp., San Diego; and Adtech Systems Inc., San Antonio.

General Dynamics won its spot on the contract through the recent acquisition of Veridian Corp.

Under the contract, the six primes will vie to provide professional, engineering and other services in the information warfare arena, to include offensive and defensive warfare capabilities in support of the operations, acquisition and testing activities of the Air Force Information Warfare Center at Lackland.

The companies will compete for individual delivery orders in system planning, feasibility studies, systems engineering, analysis, prototyping, software development, verification, validation, documentation, software maintenance, systems integration and systems testing.
