The acquisition includes design and development of hardware and software, integration, test, installation and training for numerous platforms and systems. Only companies with a current Defense Department "confidential" facility security clearance may obtain and respond to the solicitation. N00039-02-R-0001.The Army Training and Doctrine Command is looking for information on a stationary identification scanning device to be used at the entrance to military bases and other secured areas. This device must be able to read information via bar code at a distance of up to two feet; be able to televise an image of the individual presenting the card and the bar code data; feed the data to a central control panel.
