SAP Public Services Inc. and Deloitte Consulting completed the implementation of SAP e-government solutions for all 148 state agencies in Arkansas, the companies announced July 10.
The extensive implementation of SAP's enterprise resource planning software for financial and human resources brings more than 35,000 state employees into a shared, integrated administrative system, the companies said.
The new SAP-powered system was implemented in 16 months and will be the foundation for future e-government initiatives in the state, company and state officials said.
SAP of Newtown Square, Pa., was the prime contractor on the project and received about $25 million for it. Deloitte Consulting of New York was the subcontractor, but declined to disclose the value of its share of the project. The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration led the project.
