World Wide, SGI Federal to Partner on GSA Schedule

SGI Federal, a wholly owned subsidiary of Silicon Graphics Inc. of Mountain View, Calif., has entered an agreement with World Wide Technology Inc., St. Louis, to sell its products and services on the General Services Administration's Federal Supply Schedule.

Under the agreement, WWT can sell SGI products and services to any GSA customer nationwide. WWT provides Internet-based, business-to-business e-marketplaces, for buying and selling information technology products and services. One of their Web sites is fedbuy.com for government agencies.

"The SGI line of visual workstations and scalable servers further diversifies WWT's offerings to the federal government by taking advantage of SGI industry-leading advanced graphics capabilities and core competency in visualization," said Joe Koenig, WWT's corporate vice president and general manager.

The agreement with WWT is the latest alliance between SGI Federal and computer resellers and system integrators focused on leading-edge IT solutions for the U.S. government.
