Polaris protests hit double digits
The challenges center around how the General Services Administration evaluated bids and looked at past experience.
The General Services Administration is now facing 10 protests that take issue with how the agency made awards for the Polaris IT services and solutions vehicle.
The companies are challenging how GSA evaluated proposals, including how past experience was scored and the projects bidders were allowed to claim credit for.
GSA named 102 winners in December for the general small business category. The agency will make more awards in specific small business categories such as woman-owned, HUBZone and service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses.
GSA received 569 proposals for the general small business pool, so it will not be surprising to see the numbers protests climb.
The Government Accountability Office is due to rule on the protests by mid-April.
The 10 protesters (so far) are:
- 2Aces Integration
- Assyst
- CompQSoft
- DevTech Systems
- Ideal Systems Solutions
- Network Runners
- Red Pine Solutions
- Rigil
- Tigent Solutions
- Visual Soft
2Aces, DevTech and Network Runners are the most recent companies to file protests.
