The Defense Intelligence Agency needs a contractor to help manage the licenses for collecting and analyzing publicly-available information.

The Defense Intelligence Agency is looking for a contractor to help manage multiple sources of publicly-available information for analysis and research.

Public information has become increasingly important for many of DIA’s mission and business functions, the agency said in a new request for information.

DIA released that sources sought notice on Friday to explain how it is looking for commercial capabilities to help manage the licenses needed to access multiple sources of information.

The contractor will bring access to a wide range of public data sources and will work with DIA to pick the best data sources.

DIA users may range from several hundred to several thousand, so scalability is another feature the agency is looking for.

The RFI kicks off the market research phase as DIA develops a contract. Comments are due Oct. 31.
