Army chooses 7 for $610M training support recompete

The Army has awarded seven companies positions on the potential five-year, $610 million recompete of a contract vehicle for training and program support services.
Army leaders are pushing the service branch toward adopting more live, virtual and constructive training environments with a gaming element in order to create more realistic scenarios for preparation. The Army received 16 bids for this new iteration of its Training Support Systems Enterprise program known as TSS-E, the Pentagon said in its Friday contracts digest.
Awardees are as follows:
- Calibre Systems
- Janus Research Group
- Valiant Global Defense Services
- Applied Training Solutions (small business)
- Check Defense (small business)
- FITT Scientific (small business)
- MP Solutions LLC (small business)
Calibre and Valiant are among seven companies on the current contract awarded in 2017 that currently has a $554.2 million ceiling, of which the Army has obligated 74% to-date.
GovTribe data indicates that Calibre has been the largest recipient of task order volume at $185 million in obligations, while the second-largest recipient Booz Allen Hamilton is a notable incumbent not on the new awardee list.
