The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is looking to bolster its continuous monitoring and information sharing functions.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has awarded a potential eight-year, $249 million contract to RiVidium for cybersecurity support services.

NGA finalized the award on Monday for an initial one-year base period followed by up to seven individual option years, according to a Sam.gov notice.

A request for information posted in October 2019 available via GovTribe details the scope of work that covers risk management over cyber and supply chain assets, integration, software assurance and other services to protect NGA's information and systems.

NGA is looking to achieve having greater continuous monitoring functions so response and task completion times can be quicker, plus creating more opportunities for sharing knowledge and information across the organization.

The small business set-aside contract is known as Defender and supports NGA's chief information security officer.
