16 capture spots on $1B Army network contract

Winners will vie for task orders to support the Army's portion of the Defense Department's global electronic information setup.

Sixteen small businesses have won spots on a nearly $1 billion contract to provide IT and communications support service to the Army’s portion of the Defense Department's electronic information network.

The companies will compete for task orders under the $990 million vehicle let by the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command.

Thirty-one companies bid for spots on the contract so it is possible that protests could be filed, particularly given the size of the contract and the customer.

Known as NETCOM, the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command leads operations for the Army’s portion of the Defense of Defense Information Networks or DODIN.
