GSA reveals small business plan for OASIS services replacement
The General Services Administration evidently has big plans for small business in the next iteration of its government-wide professional services contract vehicle that will succeed OASIS.
The General Services Administration has made its decision on the role of small businesses in the next government-wide professional services contract vehicle that will succeed the current OASIS initiative.
Five pools in the new Services Multi-Agency Contract will be reserved for small businesses in these categories: 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, woman-owned and total small business.
Pool number six unrestricted, GSA said in its announcement Monday, which added the structure of Services MAC is intended to further fulfill its goals for greater small business participation and procurement equity.
Services Mac is the replacement name for what was formerly labeled BIC MAC, short for Best In Class Multi Agency Contract. GSA first revealed its plans for the vehicle last year and plans to release proposed evaluation criteria later in March.
The current timeline has GSA releasing a final solicitation in the fourth quarter of this calendar year and an award in the third quarter of 2023.
