Telesat hires Cynamon to lead US government arm
The former LinQuest executive will lead Telesat Government Solutions' push to further iterate and expand its network across the federal landscape.
Satellite network operator Telesat has hired a new president for its subsidiary focused on U.S. government work in Charles “Chuck” Cynamon, a three-decade defense and space sector veteran.
He joins Telesat Government Solutions to lead its push to further iterate and expand its Lightspeed network across the entire government market, the company said Monday.
Telesat Lightspeed has a high cybersecurity rating under Space Force’s IA-Pre Program and is designed as a self-healing, space relay network.
Cynamon most worked as a senior vice president at LinQuest Corp., which KBR acquired in the fall for $737 million. His career also includes leadership roles at MDA and Hughes Network Systems.
Before entering the private sector, Cynamon served in the Air Force for 24 years.
