Guidehouse

Stuart Brown has joined to lead the firm’s digital practice, a role that involves work with clients on adopting and implementing emerging technologies.

The 25-year tech and consulting veteran will also focus on building ecosystem partner relationships and data-driven strategies.

Brown most recently worked at Accenture as a senior technology executive.

Hexagon US Federal

Elliott Ferguson has moved up to chief operating officer at this subsidiary of the Sweden-headquartered industrial technology company.

Ferguson joined Hexagon US Federal in 2020 as vice president of its geospatial solutions business. Prior to that, he spent a decade in the geospatial community focused on product development and data delivery.

Hexagon US Federal focuses its tech and professional services offerings on C4ISR, installation security, geographic information systems and cybersecurity.

Leidos

Gerry Fasano will retire on April 4 after four decades in the market that included nine years at Leidos following its merger with the Lockheed Martin IS&GS services business, according to a regulatory filing.

Fasano worked as the head of integration following the close and before that led the IS&GS business development and M&A organization. Subsequent to the merger’s closure, he worked as chief of business development and strategy.

His career at Leidos also includes a stint as president of its defense group.

Leidos disclosed Fasano’s plan and timeline for retirement because he is a corporate officer at a publicly-traded company.

ManTech

Kevin Kennedy, a retired Air Force lieutenant general and former leader of its cyber team, has joined as vice president of defense strategy and warfighting integration.

The 34-year military veteran will lead ManTech’s campaign on providing cybersecurity, electronic warfare and C5ISR services to defense agencies.

Kennedy served as commander of Air Forces Cyber in the two years prior to his retirement from the Air Force.

That role involved responsibility for the branch’s global cyber, network, enterprise IT, weather, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic warfare and information warfare operational enterprises.

Metron

Dr. Robert “Bob” Zarnich has joined the provider of research, science and software services in the newly-created position of chief engineer.

Zarnich will lead Metron’s efforts to transition its creations from the scientific and research teams to being operational in the field. Metron touts its offerings as applying to multi-domain operations across sea, air, land and space defense programs.

He joined Metron in 2007 following service as director of advanced development and chief scientist for undersea warfare at the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems.

NSTXL

Shelly Tweedy has moved up to chief operating officer at the nonprofit organization, which manages consortia responsible for helping agencies run Other Transaction Authority contracting processes.

Tweedy joined NSTXL in 2020 and has since led the establishment of support functions, systems and program offerings for the firm’s Defense Department partners.

Now as COO, Tweedy will more directly work with other members of NSTXL’s executive team on shaping the firm’s strategy and vision.

Omni Federal

Collin Lee has joined the software developer and integrator as chief innovation officer, a role that puts him in charge of solution development and deployment work.

Lee’s 25-year public sector career includes leadership posts at General Dynamics’ mission systems unit and Science Applications International Corp. His background also includes service as professional staff for the House Appropriations Committee and chief of staff for the National Intelligence Management Council.

Additionally, Tim Smith has joined Omni to lead its intelligence portfolio and brings three decades of market experience to the company.

Smith most recently worked as chief operating officer at MAXISIQ. His career prior to that includes senior roles at OnPoint, ManTech and CGS.

Omni was acquired by Madison Dearborn Partners during the summer, a move the company decided on to gain private equity backing through this new phase of its strategy.

ServiceNow

Casey Coleman has joined the workflow software provider as vice president of its global public sector unit, she announced in a LinkedIn post.

The longtime tech executive most recently worked at Salesforce for eight years as senior VP for global government solutions. Her career in industry also includes senior roles at Unisys and AT&T.

Before entering the private sector, she spent 12 years at the General Services Administration that culminated in service as its chief information officer from 2007 to 2014.

Shield Capital

Dan “Razin” Caine, a retired Air Force lieutenant general whose career includes service at the CIA, has taken up a venture partner role to help identify companies the firm sees as on a growth trajectory.

Shield is one of several venture investment firms focused on defense technology and is working off its inaugural fund, which closed in the fall of 2023 and fetched $186 million in commitments.

Caine’s 34-year career includes three as associate director for military affairs at the CIA and two as director of the Special Access Program Central Office, which is part of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment.

V2X

Roger Mason has joined as chief growth officer to lead its work on identifying new market opportunities and further iterating the overall business development approach.

Mason most recently was a senior vice president at Parsons Corp. and before that a sector president at Peraton. His industry career also includes senior roles at Noblis, General Dynamics and the Institute for Defense Analyses.

In between stints at Noblis, Mason served as assistant director of national intelligence for systems and resources analyses from 2009 to 2014.

Planet Labs

John Raymond, formerly the Space Force’s most senior uniformed officer, has been elected to this satellite imagery provider’s board of directors.

Raymond served as chief of space operations at Space Force from 2019 to 2022, being the first person to do so. He retired from military service in 2023 following a 39-year career that included assignments such as commander of Space Command, commander of Air Force Space Command and deputy chief of staff for operations at the Air Force.

He is also on the boards of directors at Axiom Space and Impulse Space, as well as a senior managing director at Cerberus Capital Management.
