SixGen has now completed three acquisitions in six months with the support of its private equity owner Washington Harbour Partners.

SixGen has acquired Kyrus Tech in a move to build out software development services focused on the intelligence and defense communities.

This is SixGen’s third acquisition in the past six months. In July, SixGen bought fellow cybersecurity product company Secure Enterprise Engineering. Then in August, SixGen purchased Boldend to add more electronic warfare offerings.

No terms were disclosed for either transaction.

SixGen is backed by Washington Harbour Partners, which acquired the company in November 2023.

With Kyrus, SixGen is adding software development capabilities in areas such as data science and reverse engineering with the goal of having more solutions that address the digital threat landscape.

“Kyrus brings highly specialized capabilities that align with SixGen’s vision of building a formidable ecosystem of solutions for the modern digital warrior," SixGen's CEO Jack Wilmer said in a release.

SixGen made the acquisitions to offer more capabilities around unifying full-spectrum cyber, electronic warfare, secure radio frequency communications, and other multi-domain digital operations.

“This consolidated strength enables us to double down in our support of the nation’s most critical, mission-oriented agencies and accelerate our priorities,” Wilmer said.

Kyrus brings approximately 80 engineers and subject matter experts to SixGen’s pool of engineers, software developers and solutions architects.

Dan Hall, Kyrus CEO, will be joining SixGen’s board and work as an executive vice president focused on on customer relationships.

Washington Harbour was advised by Holland & Knight on legal matters and PwC on the financial aspects. Morse Law worked as legal adviser to Kyrus Tech.
